Welcome to Athboy Family Practice website. Athboy Family Practice is a small medical practice based on the Main Street in Athboy, Co. Meath also serving Ballivor, Kildalkey and surrounding areas. We are committed to giving the best possible GP services to all our patients.
New Patients: We regret to advise that due to exceptional demand the practice does not have any capacity currently to take on new patients.
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and are without a G.P. living in Athboy and surrounding areas, please phone the surgery on 046 9430098 to be assessed for a coronavirus test.
Surgery Hours
In our practice we operate an appointment system from 9.00 am – 12.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with 2 doctors and 1 practice nurse in surgery.
Walk-in surgery is cancelled until further notice. Athboy Family Practice also participates with NEDOC on call Out of Hours Services in Navan Hospital at 1850 777 911 from 6.00pm each evening to 8.00a.m the following morning and full cover throughout the weekend.

Appointments:
Athboy Family Practice works on an appointment system Monday through Friday.
Should you wish for more than one patient to be seen by the doctor, you must inform the receptionist of this when making the appointment.
In the case of an emergency please try to telephone the practice to let them know it is an emergency, so that you can be seen as soon as possible.
Repeat Prescriptions and Social Welfare Certificates:
48 hours noticed MUST be given when requesting prescriptions or Social Welfare Certificates.
Blood Results:
Please ring our Practice Nurse between 2.00pm – 3.00pm ten days after bloods are taken.
Insurance Forms, Letters for Housing Etc:
Please allow ten days notice – There may be a charge for these items depending on the time involved.
