Dr. Anthony Ryan
GP
Dr. Anthony Ryan qualified from RCSI in 1997. He completed his GP training in the Dublin Trinity GP scheme and became a member of the ICGP in 2001 on completion of his MICGP exam. He is on the specialist register with the Irish Medical Council.
After graduating from the general practice training scheme, Dr Ryan worked in the addiction services in Dublin : City Clinic in Amien Street and Barry Clinic in Finglas.
Dr Ryan also worked in the Infectious Disease Clinic in the Mater hospital after his specialist GP training scheme.
He worked for a year in Crumlin as a GP assistant and also in Trim before becoming a GP principal in Athboy family practice in 2005.
His other post graduate qualifications include paediatric and child health diploma, diploma in Venerology and Genitourinary medicine at the society of Epocrates in London , Certificate in Family Planning and Level 2 Methadone prescribing.
Dr Ryan specialist interests include : Travel Health (Athboy family practice is a certified yellow fever clinic ) , Weight Loss Management and Opiate Substance Treatment.
Dr Ryan has a keen interest in teaching and is involved in teaching medical students from UCD.
Dr Ryan has become an ICGP GP trainer.
